What is veg-curious?

Veg-curious describes someone interested in vegetarian or vegan eating who has not committed to it. They may be experimenting, reducing animal products, or simply open to the idea. The term borrows its shape from other curious labels.

Where the term comes from

It is a recent, informal, internet-native term, built by analogy with the established use of curious as a soft identity marker. It was not coined in any paper or publication.

Is veg-curious the same as flexitarian?

Not quite. Flexitarian describes an established eating pattern. Veg-curious describes interest and openness, and says nothing definite about what someone currently eats.
